DIY Makeup Remover

As I was wiping off my makeup the other day; the thought popped in my head, how much do these really cost to make because all I do is throw them away?

Off to the kitchen I went to see what all I had in the pantry and cabinets. I found a few leftover mason jars, coconut oil, and the cotton rounds. After I gathered everything on the counter; I made my way to Pinterest. From there I found several different recipes . Most called for coconut oil,  water, air right container, and some essential oils.

I made my own recipe from what I read.

1. I filled my mason jars more than half way full, then transferred that water to a pan to boil it. When it comes to a boil, pour it back into the mason jar.

2. I only put 1tbsp of coconut oil into the hot water to let it melt. I stared it with a straw *laughing at myself now* it was the only thing that I had right there in my reach!

3. Add the cotton rounds to the hot water mixture. Using the straw again; push the rounds down so they fully absorb as much liquid as they can.
*after I added all the rounds that I wanted I poured out the excess mixture, but it isn't a must*

I let it cool completely and put on 2 different types of waterproof mascara to see how well it actually works or not. To my surprise it worked fantastic! I didn't have to scrub my eyes to get all the mascara off and it didn't leave my eyelashes dry/brittle feeling. I will most definitely be making this again when I run out. I wish everyone could have seen my face!!! Totally shock!
